Over labor day weekend, I read our second most checked out book. It's called In the Shadow of the Blackbirds. The book starts out slow, but picks up around page 100. Give it a chance. The book gets seriously creepy when the main character, Mary Shelley (yep named after the author of Frankenstein), begins to see vision of her dead man friend. This book quickly turns into a super creepy murder mystery. It's also a plus for history buffs because it set during WWI when Spanish Influenza was at its heights.
