I know you guys cannot contain yourselves. Two books in one week. What on Earth is going on?! This book was awesome. I ended up finishing it yesterday. The story starts out with a pair of twins who are in a car crash. Spoiler alert: One of the twins dies and the other survives. This sets the book up to be a beautiful story that tells the tale of two siblings and the lives they shared. About halfway through, I found myself doing what I like to call the Fault In Our Stars cry. It was a quick read. I highly suggest it. A great book for anyone looking to stray from love stories and dystopian novels. You'll also love this one if you fell in love with Ava Lavender and I'll Give you the Sun.
I had high hopes for this book. I'm counting this as my New York Times bestseller on my 2016 challenge. Fortune Hunter promised to be great for fans of Downton Abbey, and the description made it sound like it was a drama filled love triangle. TOTALLY WRONG. This books was super boring. The characters had no depth to them and I really didn't care what happened or how it ended. I kept trying to read hoping something would happen. After three hundred pages of nothing, I felt like I had spent to much time not to finish it. Save yourself the time and the money. Skip this one.
Okay so, I officially have a check out problem. I have four book checked out at home, and I haven't read any of them. I'm also in the middle of three other books. How is a girl supposed to keep up?
Many students begged me to read Throne of Glass, so here it is. I finished it a few weeks ago. This book has some serious girl power. It kinda reminds me of Graceling. Celaena is totally a cool character. I love how powerful she is. The book starts off kinda slow, but as you get into it a mystery begins to occur. The Champions begin to die off one by one. I was on the edge of my seat once I really got into the book. Now if I could only find the time to read the rest of the series. I'm off for now. Maybe I'll finish my other three books soon. Who knows. We do have a three day weekend :)
